Access Islington – council tax enquiries

Due to technical issues, Access Islington is currently unable to help with council tax queries over the phone or at our hubs.

You can still manage your council tax online through My Islington, including viewing your bill and making payments.

We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible and are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you need to speak to someone about council tax, please try again later.

Collections for schools, universities and colleges

We can provide schools, universities and colleges in Islington with recycling and rubbish collections.

From 31 March 2025, all schools must comply with new recycling regulations. This means that recycling, including food waste, must be in place in your school.

Find out how to get your school or trust ready for new recycling regulations.

What we collect

We can collect the following:

  • mixed recycling
  • food waste
  • residual waste and rubbish
  • garden waste on request
  • bulky waste (such as furniture) on request

There is a charge for these services.
