Access Islington – council tax enquiries

Due to technical issues, Access Islington is currently unable to help with council tax queries over the phone or at our hubs.

You can still manage your council tax online through My Islington, including viewing your bill and making payments.

We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible and are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you need to speak to someone about council tax, please try again later.

How to comment or complain about licensed premises

You can comment on current licence applications for new premises, variations to existing premises or on formal reviews.

Licensing objectives

You must comment in line with our licensing objectives. They are:

  • prevention of crime and disorder
  • public safety
  • prevention of public nuisance
  • protection of children from harm

View current licence applications

View current licence applications on the online licensing register.

Notice of current review applications are shown in the Useful documents section below.

We notify all residents within 50 metres of premises when a new licence or variation application is made.

We must receive any comments by the legal deadline, within 28 days of the application being made. This deadline is displayed on the licensing register with the application details and on the public notice displayed at the premises.

Use our online representation form to submit representations about a current application to the licensing service.

Submit representations

For further information and advice about making a representation, read the 'premises licence application representation guidance notes' in Useful documents below.

If you have any concerns about licensing matters in Islington, tell us by writing to our Licensing Service. We will either investigate your complaint directly or refer you to the most appropriate agency.

You can also make a complaint about council services online.

Any person or business can apply for an existing licence to be reviewed by us if they have concerns relating to the licensing objectives. The application form is available in the useful documents section. Contact us for further information.
