Statement of gambling policy 2019-2022

This consultation has ended

Start date 10 December 2018
End date 18 January 2019

Under the Gambling Act 2005, the Council is required to publish a Statement of gambling policy every three years, setting out how it will regulate gambling premises in the borough.

Our current gambling policy expires in 2019 and we need to publish a new three-year policy. The current policy has been reviewed and updated with greater emphasis being placed on using local area profiles to influence decisions about licence applications and the management standards of existing premises. The proposed draft three-year policy is available below.

We welcome your views on the draft policy. We would also like to hear if you support the “no casino” policy in Islington.

So if you have views on either of these matters, or wish to comment generally about gambling in Islington, please contact us by email at licensing@islington.gov.uk.

Alternatively you can write to us
