Proposed change of parking restrictions on Bowmans Mews and Hercules Place

This consultation has ended

Start date 08 March 2021
End date 30 March 2021

Islington Council is proposing new parking restrictions on Bowman’s Mews and Hercules Place. The proposed changes seek to prevent disturbance to local residents in the evenings and at night from waiting vehicles.

The proposal would be to:

  • Replace the existing business parking bay on Bowman’s Mews with double yellow lines to create no waiting at any time along Bowman’s Mews and Hercules Place, as all other locations have existing double yellow lines.
  • Add loading restrictions, along the Bowman's Mews and Hercules Place, from 6.00pm – 8.00am for 7 days a week so that vehicles have loading facilities in the morning and afternoon from 8am to 6pm.
  • Install sign "Unsuitable for long vehicles” at the entry to Hercules Place to prevent long vehicles entering the area due to the restricted infrastructure.
