School Streets Consultation

Tell us what you think about the School Streets trial

This consultation has ended

Start date 24 September 2021
End date 31 October 2021

In September 2020, as part of our commitment to make our streets cleaner, greener and healthier, Islington Council introduced 13 trial School Streets across the borough.

A School Street temporarily prevents vehicles from driving on the roads near a school to become a pedestrian and cycle zone during the school’s opening and closing times.

By temporarily closing roads outside schools, this will help to reduce congestion and pollution at the school gates as well as make it easier and safer for children to get to and from school.

For more information on the changes to individual schools, please visit Islington School Streets.
