Harvist Estate Capital Improvement Works

Start date 01 June 2022
End date 21 February 2023

Islington Council are planning to make some major improvements to the Harvist Estate over the next two to three years. We are currently undertaking surveys and also commissioning other specialists to carry out surveys which will provide the information we need to understand what improvement works need to be carried out to the all blocks across the Harvist Estate.

The list of improvements to some blocks includes roof repairs and renewals, window repair and renewal, and even façade renewal including improving insulation. We are assessing the condition of the heating systems across the tall blocks, hot water storage and supply, and landlords electrical supply including emergency lighting. We will also be carrying out fire safety works in the communal areas. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list.

We recently asked you what you think about these proposed works via drop-in meetings and an online and postal survey. We will be sharing these results soon.

We have some information about the proposed works in the useful documents section.
