Temporary bus stand in Finsbury Square

This consultation has ended

Start date 05 November 2021
End date 26 November 2021

As part of the Bank Underground Station work the Northern line between Kennington and Moorgate will be closed for 17 weeks between January to May 2022. As part of TfL’s measures to minimise disruption to tube passengers a new temporary bus route would serve the route from Oval and terminating at Finsbury Square.

Islington Council is proposing to introduce a temporary 28 metre length Bus Stand on the northern side of the northern arm of Finsbury Square. This will involve relocating the two car club bays and removing two parking spaces from the shared use (Permit holders and pay by phone) bay.

The Bus Stand would be in place for the period of the temporary bus route that will operate from January 2022 to May 2022. After May 2022 the previous parking layout will be reinstated.
