Stay safe in very hot weather

Very hot weather is expected for the next few days. A red heat-health alert (the highest level) is in place for London on Wednesday and Thursday.

Hot weather can be dangerous and can cause serious illness. Stay safe and look out for others who may be particularly vulnerable to the heat. Read advice on GOV.UK

Cool spaces

There are local cool spaces that are free and open to everyone. Visit them to rest, drink water and stay cool. Find a cool space near you

Access Islington hubs

North and South Access Islington hubs are closed due to the hot weather. The Central Hub is open for urgent, in-person support, until 4pm today (Wednesday 24 June) but avoid travelling unless it is essential.

You can still access our services online and you can call us on 020 7527 2000 if you need to speak to someone.

Parking

Parking permits for your visitors

Buy visitor permit vouchers for family and friends to park nearby if you live in Islington.

Where you can park with visitor vouchers

Vehicles with a visitor voucher can park in:

  • resident permit bays
  • resident shared-use (permit or metered) bays
  • in your area only. You can check your parking zone by typing your postcode into the 'Your local area' search.

There is a different parking permit for a tradesperson doing work on or in your house.

Differences between paper and e-vouchers

  • Paper vouchers are sent in the post and you display them in the windshield of the vehicle. You can't get a refund on paper vouchers and you can't use them during match day hours.
  • E-vouchers are online, so you can buy them to use now or up to two days before and you don't need to display them. You can use them during match day additional control hours.

When paper vouchers will arrive

  • We will send your vouchers in five working days and should arrive within 10 days.
  • We will send orders over £100 by Royal Mail special delivery and someone will need to sign for the package. If you won't be home or can't collect the package, order less than £100 of vouchers.

Using visitor vouchers during additional match and event day controls

You can only use paper vouchers on match days until the extra restrictions start or after they end. If you still need visitors to park during the match day control hours, buy e-vouchers for that time only.

Find out more about restrictions on the Emirates Parking page.

Events that we use additional match day controls for

The capacity for Emirates Stadium is around 60,000 visitors. Officially, additional match day controls are used for all games and events that will sell more than 10,000 tickets. This means:

  • all Arsenal men’s and women’s football home games (for example, the average tickets sold for Arsenal women's games in 2024 was over 30,000)
  • any concerts or other big events (for example, The Killers in 2024 and Robbie Williams in 2025 - these events often run over two nights with more than 10,000 tickets sold for each night).

See the latest updates about upcoming games / events with parking restrictions on Arsenal’s local updates page.
