Stay safe in very hot weather

Very hot weather is expected for the next few days. A red heat-health alert (the highest level) is in place for London on Wednesday and Thursday.

Hot weather can be dangerous and can cause serious illness. Stay safe and look out for others who may be particularly vulnerable to the heat. Read advice on GOV.UK

Cool spaces

There are local cool spaces that are free and open to everyone. Visit them to rest, drink water and stay cool. Find a cool space near you

Access Islington hubs

North and South Access Islington hubs are closed due to the hot weather. The Central Hub is open for urgent, in-person support, until 4pm today (Wednesday 24 June) but avoid travelling unless it is essential.

You can still access our services online and you can call us on 020 7527 2000 if you need to speak to someone.

Dartmouth Park Area Healthy Neighbourhood

Find out more about the Dartmouth Park Area Healthy Neighbourhood

Thank you for all your feedback, comments, and suggestions on the Dartmouth Park Area Healthy Neighbourhood during our engagement in 2023 and 2024.

Both us and Camden Council have published a co-design stage engagement report on the Dartmouth Park Area Healthy Neighbourhood webpage.

We are now looking at what is possible before we start work on proposals in the report.

Read the report.

Past engagement

Islington Council and Camden Council asked for ideas and feed back in 2023 and 2024 for a healthy neighbourhood in the Dartmouth Park area. The aim of the healthy neighbourhood was to make the area greener, healthier and more pleasant to spend time in, making it easier to walk, wheel and cycle.

Both councils asked for and gathered feedback:

  • between September and November 2023 to get ideas from local people on where and how to improve streets and public spaces in the Dartmouth Park area
  • between July and August 2024 to get local people’s feedback on proposals for the Dartmouth Park Area Healthy Neighbourhood.
