Stay safe in very hot weather

Very hot weather is expected for the next few days. A red heat-health alert (the highest level) is in place for London on Wednesday and Thursday.  

Hot weather can be dangerous and can cause serious illness. Stay safe and look out for others who may be particularly vulnerable to the heat. Read advice on GOV.UK

Cool spaces

There are local cool spaces that are free and open to everyone. Visit them to rest, drink water and stay cool. Find a cool space near you

Access Islington hubs 

North and South Access Islington hubs are closed due to the hot weather. The Central Hub is open for urgent, in-person support, until 4pm today (Wednesday 24 June) but avoid travelling unless it is essential. 

You can still access our services online and you can call us on 020 7527 2000 if you need to speak to someone.

Apply for a new special treatments premises licence

Who needs to apply and how to apply for a new special treatments premises licence.

Apply

You must be 18 years or over and you need to supply:

  • a completed application form – you can download it from ‘Useful documents’ below
  • a plan of the premises
  • a current valid passport or driving licence photo ID*
  • proof of residential address*
  • information on any unspent criminal conviction*
  • the correct fee.

*Only applicable if you are applying as an individual. 

Fees

The application fee is dependent on the type of licence you're applying for: 

  • premises providing one or more low or standard risk treatments it's £560.00
  • premises providing one or more high risk treatments it's £985.00.

You must send the application as PDF or Word document and the individual supporting documents in a single email (licensing@islington.gov.uk).

Please note we no longer accept cash or cheques.

Once we receive the full application, we will email you a link to pay the relevant fee online.
